Goodbye Diary - Hello Laptop!

On an all too regular attempt at clearing my clutter I have come across not one, but three diaries/journals all of which I have started at some point (all hope, promises and aspirations) with good intentions but have never got further than the first two months. Annoyed at my wastefulness (is this is word?) I have decided to have a go online. The main reason for this is because I have been following several bloggers for months now( jaynebeth, exmoor jane, milly - and many more. So caught up am I in everyone elses life, I thought I'd have a go at recording all the things that happen to my family, so here goes. My name is Jacqui and my hubby is martin. I have two kids in primary school (one boy, one girl) and we live in a small town. Our tiny cottage will hopefully be extended at some point this year although we arent holding our breath (planning issues/building certs etc). My ideal home would be close to the sea and my love of the country comes from spending all my summer holidays in the west of ireland with my nan (who is 94). If anyone wants to comment on anything I write, I'd be delighted.

Let me be the first to reply because it is a thrill to get the first comment.I too keep dairies and journals mainly about ideas and things I see and want to draw.I'm also a terrible clutter bug.....my excuse is that creativity doesn't come from a tidy home! Welcome,look forward to your blog.

Thanks Milly, I'm so glad Im not the only one who hoards things. I have recently started buying lovely boxes, tins and bags to keep my things in but I suppose this just adds to a different sort of clutter. My hubby is very amused at my antics and has a standard reply of "just what we need" everytime I bring something new home. As you say, its hard to be creative and tidy.
